A stand-up comedy show for anyone who's had a Grandad!

Stand-up Comedian Matt Price spent 18 months training to win a trophy to honour the memory of his Grandad, Raging Bill Price, after he found some boxing trophies in his Grandad’s attic. 

Most amateur fighters have their first fight within a few months. It took Matt 18 months before he was “ready.” So how and why does a painfully shy 21-year-old spend so long pursuing a sport he has zero talent for? 

A very funny show about getting back up when life hits you hard. Years later and having been through some ups and downs, Matt learns something about himself that you won't forget!

Initially developed from a coming together of the army and community of Whitehill & Bordon, Phoenix Arts is now acknowledged as one of the leading Centres for community Arts in England.

Here’s what Arts Council England said on the awarding of National Portfolio status to Phoenix Arts in November 2022 “This welcoming venue is an important part of Hampshire's cultural life, and we are pleased to be investing in it”.
