It’s a brilliant membership programme for individuals, couples, or families who want to enjoy exclusive perks at The Phoenix Theatre & Arts Centre, including VIP events, exclusive discounts, and VIP booking for our top name comedy performances.

All membership levels include:

• No booking fees on any of our events
• Priority booking for top-name comedy acts (we hold the best 30 seats in the house exclusively for our Friends)
• A free drink at one event per season
• Concession ticket prices on selected shows
• Last-minute ticket discounts and offers via our Friends mailing list
• Three free Friends events per year (one film, one live music event, and one play/family show)
• A vote at our AGM

Additional benefits:

• Couples: Invitation to our VIP Valentine’s event
• Families: Two free Youth Theatre memberships (for children aged between 4–12)

We reserve the 30 best seats in the house for our most popular comedy events. These are made available exclusively to Phoenix Friends at least two hours before general booking opens. You’ll be notified via the Members Mailing List about when priority booking is available.

You can pay online via Stripe by setting up an account and adding your bank details via their portal on this page or call the box office on 01420 472664 and we’ll take you through the process.

You have a choice – you can pay a one-off fee for an annual Individual, Couple or Family membership, or you can pay monthly. An individual Friends membership costs just £5 a month.

Yes, your monthly subscription will automatically renew every month, giving you access to all our amazing benefits, but if at any time you need to cancel your subscription, you can do this through your Stripe account. We will receive notification of your cancellation and your Friends benefits will stop at the end of the payment period.

Because our booking fees are fixed through our Ticketsource payment platform, in order to provide our Friends with the benefit of no booking fees, we will issue each Friend with a unique discount code which removes your booking fee every time you book with us.

Yes, if you'd like to upgrade from an Individual to a Couple or Family membership, just get in touch with us on boxoffice@phoenixarts.co.uk or call 01420 472664 and we’ll adjust your membership accordingly (a fee may apply for the difference).

We operate on four performance seasons per year—Spring (March, April, May), Summer (June, July, August), Autumn (September, October, November) and Winter (December, January, February). Phoenix Friends are entitled to one free drink at any event of your choice during each season.

You’ll be contacted via our Members Mailing List on with exclusive invitations and booking details for the three Friends-only events (one film, one live music, one theatre performance) each year.

Children aged 4 to 12 are eligible for the two free Phoenix Youth Theatre places included with the Family membership.

After signing up to be a Friend, one of our team members will contact you by phone or email to get the names of your children and sign them up to Youth Theatre classes, which occur every Tuesday afternoon during term time.
