Calling All Disco Dancers: Let’s Dance!
Join DJ Louis, Elizabeth Blake, Will Hughes and the staff of Phoenix Arts for a sensory disco on Friday 9th May at 11:00 AM.
Inspired by the work of PMLD specialists Frozen Light and drawing on our extensive experience in Disability Arts, The Phoenix Theatre will re-open its doors for a fifth time as a sensory disco. Dance practitioner Elizabeth Blake (Music & Movement) and Will Hughes (Drumming) will be hosting the event, with DJ Louis laying out some banging tunes including old favourites by ABBA, Elvis and from the musical Grease!
The Phoenix will be transformed with bubbles, cool disco lighting and numerous other sensory experiences to take your sensory disco experience into the stratosphere! We’ve also laid out separate acoustic and chillout zones where you can take a break from dancing or sit on a bean bag, try out some sensory props or play a musical instrument.
The Club Bar will also be open if you want to buy a drink, and we’ll supply squash and water free of charge.
