Facilities

The Cube is situated inside of The Shed which has a bar which serves beer, wine, cider and soft drinks. The Shed is also home to several shops and restaurants serving pizza, burgers, chicken, burritos, jacket potatoes, sushi and Asian hot dishes, sandwiches, coffee, ice cream and much, much more. The Cube has accessible entrances and toilets.

Capacity

Our multipurpose theatre space has a capacity of 70 seats and plays host to a large amount of events throughout the year including comedy & music.

History

The Shed was the first building in Bordon's brand new town centre and opened in May 2021, receiving massive support from the public. The shed serves primary as an indoor market and eatery, but is also home or has been home to a barbers, a bicycle shop, a zero-waste shop and a gallery.

The Cube at The Shed has served as an integral entertainment venue for the town hosting cinema nights, concerts, open mic nights, stand-up comedy, discos, talks and performances.

Location

You can find us in the heart of Bordon, Hampshire inside The Shed - the flagship building of Bordon's brand new town centre between the High Street and Havannah Way.

An Evening With Brian Wood

In September 2021 we welcomed local man Brian Wood, who famously led a bayonet charge across open ground in Iraq. Brian walked us through his story of being awarded the Military Cross, PTSD, answering allegations of war crimes in court and his eventual vindication and acknowledgement as a hero.

In March 2022 Phoenix Arts facilitated two unique performances of the Punch & Judy Show to a delighted and packed out audience of children and grown-ups.

Reservoir Dogs

In March 2022 Phoenix Arts kicked off a new cinematic run dubbed "Just Cool Cinema" with a screening of Quentin Tarantino's debut film "Reservoir Dogs", complete with a complimentary dinner served by The Shed residents "350 Burger".
