Every Other Mother
Getting creative about motherhood
You’ve never been to a mum and baby event like this! We’re giving unheard mamas a platform to talk about their experiences of motherhood in any way they choose. Covering everything from the highs and the lows to the hormones and the mum guilt, you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll be surrounded by women who get it.
Curated by writer Sally McIlhone and poet Violet Malice, each Every Other Mother event will be a totally unique mix of stories and creative expression, with local mums contributing poetry, comedy, spoken word, monologues, music and more. Join us in March for a two-hour celebration of motherhood!
At the March show, we have:
- Award-winning author Lucy Jones reading from her New Statesman Book of the Year, Matrescence
- Hampshire Life columnist Daisy Harris-Reid, aka Mum About Town, who will be reading an extract from her new book.
- A Q&A with Laura Naser (or The Family Lawyer to those in the know)
- Poetry from Violet Malice
- New writing from Sally Cops
Free tea, coffee and snacks for kids. Cake and Prosecco will be available to purchase. Babies and children under four go free!
