Home, I'm Darling
The award-winning "Home, I'm Darling" by Laura Wade is coming to the Phoenix Theatre!
Join this amateur production as we dim the lights and turn up the music for the fairy tale from the 1950's.
Judy and Johnny lead the perfect 50s lifestyle. Judy lives the dream, spending her days doting on her husband's every need while Johnny is trying to earn the promotion that will keep them going.
When the modern world catches up on them will they leave it all behind or will their love be enough?
We realise "nostalgia ain't what it used to be" in this fantastic play written by Laura Wade.
In 2018, Laura Wade's play "Home I'm Darling" made its world premiere at Theatr Clwyd, directed by Tamara Harvey and starring Katherine Parkinson.
The play transferred to the National Theatre for a summer 2018 run. It then won Best Comedy at the 2019 Laurence Oliver Awards.
"Home I'm Darling" then embarked on a UK tour before returning to its home at Theatr Clwyd.
The Phoenix Players can't wait to share their version of this amazing play.
This amateur production of “Home, I'm Darling” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk
