Kathakali is the classical dance drama of Kerala; a magnificent combination of storytelling, dance, drama, music, costumes, and makeup. This masterpiece of visual theatre originated in the temples of India around 500 years ago and its stories still resonate today.
This workshop will cover the history, costumes, makeup and the storytelling principles of Kathakali and includes a guided tour around our Kathakali exhibition.
