Phoenix Arts proudly presents The Booth, its first professional production developed in-house with support from Arts Council England and directed by Rob Allerston.

An electrifying one-man play based on the writing of Cavan Syrad, and adapted for the stage by Dom Gee-Burch, the play tells the remarkable true story of Johnny Syrad, a young boxer from Hampshire on the brink of greatness – until an injury changes everything.

Forced to abandon his dreams, Johnny discovers that providing for his family is the greatest fight of all. A deeply personal and moving tale of resilience, sacrifice, and love, The Booth captures the essence of an extraordinary ordinary man.

Experience this powerful debut production and witness a story that will stay with you long after the final bell.
