We were so grateful to be able to get involved with East Hampshire District Council's Ukrainian event, providing free drama workshops for all.
Help was on hand at East Hampshire District Council's event from a wide range of community groups, voluntary organisations and local authorities who provide support to Ukrainian refugees and hosts.
Advice and information were available from: Citizens Advice; Community First; British Red Cross; East Hants Primary Care Network; East Hants Mind; Rural Refugee Network; Barnados; Hampshire Library Service; NHS Healthier You; Swan Medical Group; Homestart Butser; South Downs National Park; Everyone Active; Phoenix Arts and The King’s Arms Youth Project.
“Everyone at the event had a smile on their face. Our Ukrainian guests want to contribute to our community and help to make East Hampshire a better place.”
- Councillor Adeel Shah, EHDC's portfolio holder for Community Development and Engagement
“Everyone is so lovely and welcoming, and I feel a lot of support from the community. I am really happy to be able to help out and give a little bit back to the community by volunteering at such events.”
- Iryna, moved to Petersfield just over three months ago.
