For the past 15 years the Alton Concert Orchestra have been entertaining the people of Alton with a family-friendly summer concert. In 2022 the event moves to a new home in Whitehill & Bordon with a new name: A Night at the Proms.
The event was held on Saturday 9 July at the new Town Park adjacent to The Shed and was the latest event in collaboration with the Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company (WBRC).
Here is a video showing the highlights from the event, as we look forward to our next one!! Thank you to all the businesses & volunteers involved with putting this event on; we couldn’t have done it without you all.
I’ve had a long-held ambition to bring classical music to Whitehill & Bordon and with this concert, I’m finally achieving it.
Rob Allerston, Director, Phoenix Arts
We are delighted to be taking part in this new venture and we are planning what we hope will be a delightful and entertaining musical programme to reflect the excitement and expectation of the regeneration of Whitehill & Bordon.
Chris Gardner, Music Director, Alton Concert Orchestra
I am delighted that we can host ACO in Whitehill & Bordon this summer in our fantastic Town Park next to The Shed. A Night at the Proms will be a great way to kick off our summer festival.
